Installation Art

Austin Art In Public Places Tempo 2018 Commission: Sunbrella

The Sunbrella sculpture was conceived to bring awareness to how important open green space and wild nature is within the urban city center. The focus on urban density has put a premium on development at the expense of our air, environment and water quality. I am interested in how these depletions affect our psyche and mood. Conceptually the umbrella, as it relates to good times, family and vacation is a perfect symbol to draw attention to these issues and connect people to the largely wild and un-manicured nature we currently enjoy in Austin, Texas.

A huge leaf of faith! ---> My glass installation piece "The Technicolor Garden" was commissioned! It will appear August 11, 2016 at La Petit Versailles Garden in the Lower East side of Manhattan. This project brings awareness the the importance of green space and the power of color. See the vision here>

I'm doing a demo at the Harry Ransom Center -- on UT campus. I'm Showing the volunteers how to work in pastel. Because their recent exhibit was Frank Reaugh, we're recreating his image. See the image here >
